My littl(est) man

 huh, you talk'n to me?

Jack continues to be just a joy to have around. Smiling lots, especially at his big brother. Screeching often, turning over from back to tummy and tummy to back. Getting the hang of using his hands.

He is still my big snuggle buddy, and I truely do love it, even if at times I may complain because I feel I never get anything done besides hold him! ...I try to look at the big picture, when I'm old and gray sitting in my rocking chair and thinking back at my days with babies. I don't think I'll ever regret holding my boys so much and having a house filled with dust and cobwebs!

I recently saw this quote (or something very similiar) hanging up in my friends home. I thought it was wonderful, and I'm trying to remember it when I feel I'm not being 'productive' enough with keeping a clean home.

'Cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow
For babies grow up, we've learned to our sorrow
So quiet down, cobwebs
Dust, go to sleep
I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep.
'

Favorite baby outfit

The pic above is one of my favorite baby photos of Quinn -- he is wearing my fav baby outfit, too.
So how excited do you think I was this morning when I realized
Jack would fit into this outfit now, too?!

Please welcome Bob Fish to the family!

Please meet the newest member of the family: Bob Fish.

Quinn's Gma J and Auntie La La took him to a school carnival where he won his very first goldfish.

The name was a close toss up between hockey and 'Bob Fish'. (Not to be confused with Bob the Fish).  Eventually though, the name Bob Fish won out!
 I see you, Bob Fish.
Good boy! (Yes, this was what Quinn is saying here.) You can't make this stuff up!

Steve and I wonder how long Bob Fish will hang around for....

We're afraid we may find our new friend 'floating' instead of swimming someday soon...we all know that the length of a goldfish's life is no laughing matter.
Until that day, Quinn learns responsibility with having his own pet.

...He also learned to not hug the tank too hard, as some of Bob Fish's water splashed out when that happened... he did what every little boy should do: he told his fish that he was sorry and he cleaned up his mess.

Three little men

 Mason (1 year)
Quinn (2 years)
Jack  (four months)

These pictures crack me up!

I think these three little boys will have a lot of fun together through the years!

...With the dads that they have, something tells me all three of them have something of a
 mischievous streak in their blood?!

Sprinkler Fun

Quinn had no idea his daddy was running up behind him!
 SURPRISE!

Swim trunks?... more like swim pants if you ask me.

My two very handsome guys. My third handsome guy, Jack, will join in on the fun next year.

For now he sits on the sidelines with his mama!

Wordless Wednesday

The two amigos

I love Quinn's closed eyes, content look on his face -- he seems blissfully unaware of any bad in the world, and is just so happy with his dog at his side.

Jack is 4 months old!

The first two photos above are Jack at four months old! (5/11/12)
The photo above is of Quinn at four months old.

Here we are, already four months since Jack has come into our family and hearts :).

Mother's Day - 2012

 Our family of four:
Quinn - 2 years and Jack - 4 months

Oh man, I love self timed photos five minutes before church is set to start, and we're still at home!
......But it's not too often we're dressed up!

This was my third and best mother's day to date! Last year I can't even recall what we did as I believe
I was in the throes of morning sickness with Jack. My first year I was a first time mom with a little three month old. I remember having to change Quinn's blow out dirty diaper at the restaurant during brunch, and when he was finally cleaned up, he spit up all over himself (and me!) ...I was still lacking in the self confidence department with my mothering (not that I still don't from time to time!) and was probably very sleep deprived!  This year was fantastic. I'm learning the ropes (just a tad more!), and feel more confident than I did even two years ago..

Steve and the boys spoiled me, too! I got a gift card for a message and Starbucks, along with a beautiful necklace (I'm wearing it in the photos above.)  I asked Quinn what he got me on Saturday, and he replied: Elmo Something (the last word was not understandable!) ...Well, my first gift was a card from Quinn and Jack, and sure enough, it was a big, bold ELMO Mother's Day card! We spent the day doing some of my favorite things. Going to church as a family and having a picnic right in our front lawn.  We were surrounded by all the beautiful flowers we potted over the weekend.

I hope all you awesome moms out there spent the day feeling loved, valued and appreciated!

You all deserve it.

A Motorcycle and a duck

 Ducky is with him...
Still hanging on.. (Although fallen multiple times and run over a few, too).
 ..A bit dirty!
But hasn't left Quinn's side. What a sidekick!

Quinn's two uncles both have motorcycles. He gives me mixed signals regarding whether he likes them or not (the motorcycles that is, not his uncles!) Everyone knows he loves Uncle Eat (Pete) and Uncle Nick.  When I ask.. "Quinn, do you like Uncle Pete's motorcycle?" ..He squints his eyes, gets a very concerned look on his face, then nods his head no, while answering: 'Uncle Pete motorcycle scare me. Too loud." ..yet, just today when he was playing on his trike, he corrected me and said it was his' motorcycle.  I think he may be working through his own fears?  Way to go, Quinn!
