Little helper

Quinn plays like he has 'work' to do!
"Mom, leave me alone, I'm mowing the lawn!"

He doesn't know exactly where the rain gutter
should go, but he's going to try and figure it out!!
 Dear Quinn,

Almost 15 months old, you have a strong & determined mind of your own!  You want to do things by yourself, and you let me know how angry you feel if I take something away from you, or move you from a certain area in the yard.

You love being outdoors (and so do I), but I think you become quickly frustrated as I don't let you get into everything. (as I know you would like!)

Today you were frustrated when mommy had to move you off the stairs. Then you found a big walking stick, and when Tucker tried to take it away from you, I was amazed at how hard you held onto it and how mad you got at Tucker!!    I love seeing your personality blossom more everyday, but please understand you aren't 15 years old, you are still just 15 months old!

We don't want you growing up any faster
than you already are!

Love,

Mama

Bubbles and outside fun!

Our day was spent:

Waking up happy (the sun was finally shining!)

Going to the zoo with Quinn's Aunt Mandy!

Eating lots..(and lots) of graham crackers while watching fish, monkeys, moose and camels.

Visiting the goats (As you know, they're our favs!)

Coming home for a quick nap, and then waking to:

PLAY OUTSIDE!

It was a great day!

Meeting baby Mason!

Quinn (14 months old), Gretchen, Melissa
and Mason (3 weeks old).
 I heart baby yawns!!!

Proud new family of three: Missy, Matt and Mason.

Quinn was able to meet their cat Snickers, too.

Steve, Quinn and I headed out to Buffalo Lakes, MN to visit our friends who just had their baby on Apr. 12th.

I was honored that my friend asked if I'd take some photos for them. I had so much fun, but quickly realized I still have a lot to learn!

...I am thinking about signing up for an online photography class as well as stocking up on numerous books to learn a lot more. It's a fun hobby, but I want to become more knowledgeable as well.

Thanks for having us over, Matt and Missy!!
Your little boy is absolutely adorable!

Quinn's book club

I'm almost tempted to say 'Quinn's Book Club' has an even better ring to it than 'Oprah's Book Club!'

Quinn carried all of his favorite books over to his new 'reading' chair, and rounded up all of his pals for story time. Elliot the Elephant had a tough time staying up.

Don't worry, Tuck doesn't get left out of too much... even getting read to!
Quinn's love of reading melts my heart!  ...I may have gone a little overboard with all of the photos, but it's just so darn cute, and I'm happy he loves to read!

Some Easter pics

Quinn got a slinky and chair from G&G Sattler

 Quinn (14 months old) - Easter 2011

Evy and Quinn - how cute are they?!
Our "official" family Easter photo for 2011

We had a great Easter! We went to church with my folks, and then headed back to their house to have lunch (it was also my sister's birthday!)

We had Easter supper at Jan and Stan's (they were hosting this year and had lots of extended family over as well). ...As you can see, Quinn enjoyed hanging out with Steve's cousin's daughter Evy! (I think they are first cousins twice removed? ...it gets confusing!)

I hope everyone had a great Easter!

He Is Risen!

...I am Saved by God's grace.

Not through my own understanding,
but through faith from the Holy Spirit...

I have been washed perfectly clean, by Jesus Christ suffering from death on a cross...

I am more sinful than the east is to the west... Yet, I can rejoice along with all other Christians!

I know I am saved!

I have a heavenly home waiting for me because my Savior, Jesus Christ died on a cross to take away the sins of the entire world...for every race, culture, ethnicity...person.

Christ died on the cross for EVERY person.

I know my Savior lives! Happy Easter!

(I Had to post a day early because I know our family is going to be very busy tomorrow!)
