Growing fast...

 Big smiles...

Mommy and Jack having a chat!
 Having sweet dreams?
...And I must add, Jack has the cutest feet.Ever.Amen.

Oh Jack, you are growing so, so fast. Maybe too fast for your mama? Not your daddy though. He loves seeing you get chubby and big, so that soon you'll be able to play and rough house with him and big brother, Quinn!  You watch your brother and I can tell you already look up to him. I try and remind Quinn that you are his lifelong pal. Best friend, even. There will be fights down the road, but there will be more great memories of you guys having a ball together. Playing out in the country at grandma and grandpa Sattler's house, going to grandma and grandpa Johannes's cabin and playing in the lake and taking hikes.  Making forts, building stuff, playing football/hockey/baseball together, complaining about mom and dad as only siblings can do, bringing immense joy to your mom and dad's life, as only children can do. Being part of a family who loves you very, very much!

We are so blessed to have our family of four, and our sweet little Jack.

From son up 'till son down...and all the time inbetween!

 Yum...eating a clementine.

We're starting to get BIG smiles and coos from Jack...it doesn't get cuter than that!
...yikes, just noticed the spitup on my shoulder...oh the life of parents with a baby!
He might look grumpy, but Quinn was Oh so excited to be wearing his daddy's hat!

Life sure is good and I thank Jesus EVERYDAY (or at least try to remember!)
...for life with my sons and husband!

Quinn is TWO!

This is what Quinn woke up to for the morning of his birthday!

 Morning hair :)

 Birthday french toast...yum!

And a couple presents in the evening.

I LOVE Jack in this photo :). He's really excited for big brother to open his present!

What do you do for a little boy who has a winter birthday?

You have an indoor picnic, of course!

...Complete with a Curious George Movie.

Watch out...daddy is rocking out to the George movie!!

ALL of the stuffed animals joined the movie viewing...some wore birthday hats.

Two sweet mini cupcakes for a sweet two year old.

...Does that mean Steve gets 34 cupcakes on Thursday?!

Uh oh! ...I think the birthday boy was getting carried away.

We don't eat candles, buddy.

Alright, dig in!

What a great day, filled with special memories! Happy birthday Quinn Franklin Johannes, we hope you had a great day that made you feel special and loved...which you are!

Birthday Party (Quinn style!)

Quinn loves the mustaches he gets to have at the Tin Shed Restaurant.
Ta- da! You can barely recognize him, right?!
 Cute! One for Jack too.
Quinn's buddy, Calahan.
 Some of our party guests.
This is how you become the 'cool uncle.' Let the kid eat
the frosting off the cake when no one is looking?!
 Happy Birthday to Yooouuuu!
Make a wish!
How cute are the little kiddos at the table?!!?
 Sharing cake with grandpa.
Love this one with the Aunts.
Yikes, that's a lot of frosting!

We had a great time celebrating Quinn's 2nd birthday party at the Tin Shed Restaurant. We reserved the entire back room, so all of the kiddos who attended with their parents were able to move around and explore before the pizzas came.  We had a great turnout. It felt so good to look around the full room and realize they were all there for Quinn! What an awesome feeling it is knowing that Quinn has so many loving and supporting friends and family in his life!  We truly are blessed.
