Quinn and Daddy!

We decided to have an orange themed food day: carrots and butternut squash, to celebrate Halloween Weekend! {I'm just kidding...it just ended up that's what we had in the house!} I am starting to try different spices with Quinn's meals, and I sprinkled ginger in the carrots and cinnamon in the squash, he loved it!
What a messy meal!

Halloween 2010

The VERY scary lion! {With Grandma Bea}.

Lion Quinn hanging out with all of the other animals at the zoo!

Attack of the lion!!

I'm not so sure of this mom and dad!

We went to a friend's home for a kid friendly Halloween party on Saturday night, 10/30. All the kids were dressed up and looked adorable! Between four couples there are seven kids! As you can see from the photo above, the two youngest (sitting on each side of Strawberry Shortcake) were a little freaked out! Seconds after this was taken the little butterfly started crying - Quinn was too scared to even cry, he looked bewildered! Once he got down and started playing with toys he forgot all about it!It was a very fun evening!

Kitchen Adventure

Hmm, what can I get into today?

Childproof locks? I don't think so!

I think I'll pass the time by pushing mama's bowl around the kitchen floor...

Now it's time to check out the mixer and try to pull it off the shelf...

That mixer was much too heavy for me to lift, unlike this crock pot!
Imagine that, Tucker wants to get in on the action, too!

Jackpot! I found what I've been looking for...red plastic cups!

One for me!

And one for Tucker!

All in all, a very fun day for Q and T :)
My two cuties.

Playing!

The Tupperware drawer has been found!

Quinn is 8 months old! {10/20/10}

I know everyone says this... "Where have the last {fill in the blank} months/years gone", and I have to agree! Where have the last eight months gone? Are you kidding me??!! My baby is already nearing his 1 year birthday!

New milestones for Quinn's Eighth Month:

Quinn now has two bottom teeth!

Crawling is a piece of cake now as he's been perfecting it for about 2 months, and he's quickly becoming confident in pulling himself up on everything and walking with the assistance of furniture!

His best friend is Tucker.

He is becoming more and more of a daddy's boy and loves when Steve gets home from work!

He loves pulling toys out of his toy basket and Tuck's toy bin and playing. He can entertain himself for hours {this makes me so happy and proud!}

He recognizes books and loves the familiar ones {Moo Moo Brown Cow is a hit!}

I haven't found a food that Q doesn't like! Albeit avocados aren't his favorite, he'll still eat 'em! Hopefully this last!

He is starting to interact with the other babies at his play date! I think he might have a little crush on Abby! Very cute to watch them 'play'.

Constantly making new noises/experimenting with sounds and the volume of his voice! {Sometimes whispers dadada to get our attention, other times it's a LOUD shriek to let us know he's hungry!}

Does not like being away from me. This makes it difficult to have date nights, but we have a patient family who are so great with Quinn and we're trying to work through this stage! Steve and I both agree that this is one of our favorite stages thus far...we love Quinn's personality and we see more and more of it everyday!

Aunt Katie and little 'spike!'

My sister has affectionately nicknamed Quinn, 'spike', due to the little tuft of hair he almost always has standing up in the middle of his head!!

The many faces of Quinn at almost 8 months old!

Looking more and more like a 'big boy' everyday!

Amanda and Nick's Courthouse Wedding 10/01/10

On Friday, 10/01/10 my sister and her fiance, Mandy and Nick, were married at a Courthouse in Minnesota {to make it 'legal' before their ceremony in Costa Rica on 10/10/10!} The ceremony was short and sweet! I was honored to be her witness! {is that the equivalent of being the maid of honor when it's at the courthouse?!}

Afterwards, we headed over to Nick's folks home for drinks, apps and dinner made by the groom! As you can see in the pictures above, we all had a great time celebrating the beginning of Amanda and Nick's marriage! Congrats guys.
